Lovingly designed by our local artist & craftsmen friends, our holiday accommodation, The Lodge at Trecara in St Agnes, Cornwall, is just a few minutes walk from the South West Coast path with breathtaking coastal views and walks to surf beaches with their cafes, pubs and water activities. Local art hangs on colourful walls, the deepest of baths & waterfall shower is bliss after a day's exploring. Super king bedroom opens to mature trees in sunny garden for coffee, al fresco dining & fireside stargazing. You can also step straight from your bedroom in your robes and slippers, and soak in the hot tub (extra charge), under the festoon outside lights or the moonlight. Kitchen with log burner for romantic nights in or lovely family time around large table. Home cinema lounge with sea views. Triple bunk room for kids plus epic tree swings & mud kitchen. Beautifully crafted throughout. Shops & restaurants 10min walk. Dog-friendly. Walkers paradise.
St Agnes is perfectly positioned in mid Cornwall so your stay is perfectly positioned for exploring North and South coast - over 200 beaches and countless picture postcard fishing villages are under an hour away, many within 30 minutes (St Ives 30 minutes, Falmouth 40 minutes, St Michael's Mount 45 minutes, Eden Project 45 minutes).

'Love of the Homestead'
In Cornish Trecara roughly translates into English as ‘Love of the Homestead’.

For us, the ‘Tre’ of ‘homestead’ includes: our family home, each other and our children; The Lodge and its wildlife, trees, flora and fauna, as well as all of the guests who visit.
​
For us ‘homestead’ expands beyond The Lodge at Trecara itself to our neighbours and the surrounding village of St Agnes and county of Cornwall.
​
We are stewards of our homestead and take pride in acting responsibly towards its best interests, creating enriching experiences for all: this, for us, is the very definition of ‘love of the homestead’ or Trecara.​

We have carefully considered and created a Responsible Tourism Policy to celebrate what we are doing for the 'homestead' of Trecara, St Agnes and Cornwall and help us to deepen our commitments to the land, sea, people, heritage, plants and wildlife.

About us
Hello (or 'dyth da' in Cornish)!
We're your hosts, Kate & Simon. We've been living at our home, Trecara in St Agnes, for a decade and built The Lodge, with its separate private garden and drive, as somewhere for our family members to stay. We love it in The Lodge so much, we've spent a fair bit of time staying there with our three children ourselves!
We are active members of the St Agnes community , including as qualified surf life guards. We are passionate about sharing the beauty of St Agnes and Cornwall with our guests, whilst offering a peaceful and restorative place to stay for couples, friends, families and, more often than not, their dogs!
